Workshops

Besides hanging out with friends and listening to lectures or discussions there’s also plenty to do on Imagicon 3.0 when you join one of our workshops! Want to participate in a workshop? Please register in advance (this isn’t mandatory). If you don’t, you run the risk that the workshop is already filled up on the day itself. To register, send us an email with ‘Registration Workshop + title of workshop’ in the subject line. Ideas, tips and suggestions for workshops are still more than welcome as long as there’s still room in our program!

10:30h How to tell stories Abe de Verteller In this workshop Abe will pay attention to tone of voice, facial expression, gestures, content of the story, empathy & emotion, loosen & relax and finally presentation. This sounds quite serious, but this workshop is mainly to have fun together! To take a step further with each other when it comes to ‘showing yourself’ in a group and to see if you can overcome any initial hesitation to show something to an audience. Maximum number of participants: 25 12:00h Cosplay? Roleplay! Roxanna Rojas-de Wit When someone mentions the word ‘cosplay’ people’s first thoughts often are of all those beautiful and incredibly good-looking costumes, the make-up, the gorgeous hairstyles or wigs, the props, etc. But the word ‘cosplay’ consists of two parts : ‘costume’ and ‘roleplay’. The roleplay part is often ignored or simply forgotten, even though it can add so much more to a cosplay! During this workshop you’ll learn how important acting is and what you have to keep in mind while cosplaying. With a warm-up and then a live exercise you’ll learn how to ‘channel your character’ and see why acting is such a wonderful part of cosplay. Maximum number of participants: 20
