Charity 2016: Make-A-Wish Netherlands A charity? Aren’t we one ourselves? Of course, but we like to support a good cause each year by donating the proceeds from our auction to the chosen foundation or organization. This year we’ve chosen Make-A-Wish Netherlands, a foundation dedicated to grant children with a life-threatening disease an unforgettable day by fulfilling their deepest wishes. So, we’re looking for things that can be auctioned off! Do you have stuff at home that you don’t use any more or want to get rid of, and which has something to do with SF, Horror, Fantasy or Comics? Items that you’d love to see get a new owner and have the proceeds be donated to charity? Donate them to our auction. How to donate your stuff? Very simple: fill out this form. The items that are to be auctioned will be published on this site and our Facebook page two weeks prior to Imagicon 2016. If you want a picture of your object to be shown on our site and our page, please send it to info@imagicon.nl with ‘auction for charity’ in the subject line. Don’t forget to include your name and the name/description of your article! Examples of items that can be donated are cosplays, figurines, statuettes, (parts of) a collection, books, homemade fan items, etc. Rules for the auction Sellers: * If you complete the form you are obligated to take your donated items with you to Imagicon. * Items can be sold for a minimum price. Specify the minimum price on the form. * If there is no minimum price indicated an item will be auctioned off at any price (this amount will be set by the auctioneer). * If an item receives no bids it’ll be returned to its owner afterwards. You are then allowed to take it back home with you. Buyers: * When you place the highest bid you are obligated to pay for the item immediately after the auction closes at the Imagicon Information Stand. Supported charities 2014 & 2015: The Foundation for Reading and Writing Our first and second auction for charity was held for The Foundation for Reading and Writing. All of our visitors could donate items to be auctioned. We ended up with a total of around € 300,-- that was donated to the Foundation.
